Slave Reparations: The Final Passage

SlaveReparationsThis documentary is an examination of the arguments, pro and con, for the payments of compensation for the injustice suffered by Africans and African-Americans under slavery.

The film explores how the long since abolished institution of slavery has created the uneven distribution of education, wealth, power, privilege, and prestige, as well as psychological damage and racist beliefs that exist in America today.

Each argument that has been raised against reparations is answered by a variety of voices including those of Revered Herbert Daughtry, Professor Manning Marable, Dr. Alvin Poussaint and other physicians, ministers, academics, and public servants.

USA, 2004, Arlene Corsano, 28min, documentary, English.
